Just two weeks before the scheduled opening, Marshall was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him in the ICU for two weeks, followed by a month-long hospital stay. Initially planning to contribute remotely from Los Angeles, Cassie didn't hesitate—she packed up, moved back to Denver, and committed herself fully to making sure they opened on time. Along with her brother Denver, they worked around the clock to bring their dad's vision to life.

The community response was extraordinary. When the accident forced a delay and left them covering rent without revenue, they launched a Kickstarter campaign.
